Oh what do you do in the autumn time...

You carve pumpkins...
which is always better with a really cute boy...

especially if he's an excellent pumpkin scraper-outer (yes that is the technical name).

You can also take walks in the very colorful canyon. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of this picture.

You join an angel, a flameno dancer and Peter Pan in riotous living as a bed bug at the ward Halloween party.

Did you know that bedbugs aren't drawn to lights... but to run over missionaries? Strange but true. :)

It has been a great week. Our ward Halloween party was alot of fun but having it a week early has kindof messed me up because now I feel like Halloween should be over but its not because its still coming tomorrow. The weather in Provo got cold for a few days and then warmed up again. The past few days have been in the mid-60's and it has been absolutely perfect.
The highlight of this week was having Dad here for a few days. I got to go straight to his hotel on Monday after work and it was alot of fun just to chat. That night Dad, Chad, and I went to Los Hermanos for dinner. I love that place but its one of those places that you just can't stop eating what's in front of you and then after you've eaten your whole plate of food, you want to throw up because you're so full. Oh well, its not going to stop me from going again later. :)
I seriously loved having Dad out here and am so excited to come home for Christmas and see everyone (well almost everyone) again.
ps. I'm starting to think that nobody reads this because nobody ever comments.

A break from the routine

Last weekend Chad and I went down to Las Vegas to visit two of my best friends, Elise and Austin Burnett. We left Friday afternoon and came back Sunday afternoon. That was definately not long enough and we would have loved to stay and have fun instead of coming back to Provo for work and real life. We went all over the place. This is a picture from the world's largest catus garden.
We had WAY too much fun at FAO Schwartz!! As you can tell from the following pictures.

That keyboard was so much fun.

This is inside the Venetian. What a fun place with gondolas and everything.

Austin, Elise, Me and Chad taking a break by the canal in the Venetian.
The Eiffel Tower.
The Bellagio with the fountains going.
At the Coke Store. Don't ever try the Beverly Soda from Italy... unless you want to throw up.
At the M&M store. Those are golf club covers...
We had so much fun and we love Elise and Austin so much for letting us stay with them!! For more pictures you can go to http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2217714&l=6287a&id=17800556 or you can go to the Burnett's blog http://theburnettsbackyard.blogspot.com/. Horray for fun weekends!

Tag 4

I've been tagged. You go to your pictures and post the fourth picture in the fourth file. This is my brother Brent and my cousin Aaron tickling (aka torturing) my youngest brother Nathan. Um, I don't really have anybody else to tag because everybody that reads my blog has been tagged except Mary and Janalee. So I guess I tag them.

Dinner date

So on Saturday night, Chad and I decided to put a few of your suggestions to good use and make dinner.
Meggie said that Chad always looks cute in his apron and I have to agree.
We had breaded Chicken...
And used some plates and bowls...
and mashed potatoes, and green beans (because Chad doesn't like plain corn but that's ok )
We also made some peanut butter bar thingys and they looked so good and we were in great anticipation and then... they were so dry, we didn't even eat one of the little squares between the two of us. They actually didn't taste as bad the next day but Saturday night they were not good.
We're going to have to try some more of your recipes so keep 'em coming people! :)

Randomness

So this past weekend was really nice. I was able to go up to Salt Lake to Jolayne and Conley's for conference and saw cousins (and their kids) and it was a bonus that Brent was there. We got to just hang out and talk and it was way nice to have him back for a few days. Chicago is far away... so is Michigan and Nebraska and Rexburg. I guess part of growing up is having family spread across the US. What a bummer. Good thing we have blogs and phones. I was talking to Mom the other day and she was saying how when she first got married, it cost like 25 cents a minute to call long distance so she couldn't call her mom very often. I'm glad I have a cell phone so I can call anytime I have a question or just need advice from Mom and Dad. Seriously, my parents rock! This past year has also given me the realization that my siblings are very good at advice giving as well. Really, the older I get the more I love and admire everyone in my family. If you can't tell, I'm kindof feeling like Christmas is a long ways away and even then, only 2/3 of everybody is going to be there. Anyway, I guess the point of this rambling was that I'm glad Brent got to come out for so long and I'm excited for Daddy to come in a few weeks.
Item of business number 2. I like cooking. I think its my creative outlet. I haven't tried making anything new recently and am making a request for suggestions of what to make. I'm thinking main dish suggestions and desserts will be my focus for this adventure. I know several of you have absolutely delicious recipes that you want to share with me... so load me up. I'm ready for a challenge! :) I guess you can either post your idea in a comment or you can email me several ideas (kpincock@gmail.com). I'm totally serious about this.
Item #3... Chad is back from his 5 day trip for work. YAY!!
Item D... (yes i know i'm numbering/lettering these differently) It smells like fall outside and it might snow this weekend. I love the smell... I don't know how I feel about the snow.

THE END :)

I could not ask for more

Picture Time on BYU campus
Nielsen's Park in Orem
Roses that were on my car yesterday morning
I am a very lucky girl
Last week was a week of taking pictures. I think Chad and I took 91 pictures, actually way more than that because I deleted some, from Tuesday night to Saturday. (see http://picture.thechadchad.com/?level=collection&id=2). Let's see if I can remember what I did. Tuesday we had a bonfire, Wednesday we went to my work BBQ, Thursday Chad was really busy, Friday we went to a really cute and really tasty restaurant named Little Italy and took pictures up on BYU's campus and Chad lost his keys, Saturday we made breakfast and then picked an ENTIRE tree of apples for Chad's grandparents (seriously it was probably over 1,000 apples) and then we went to Nielsen's park which is a way pretty park by Chad's house.
The first part of this week was a little interesting but I survived it. The newest addition to the Pincock clan, my nephew Ethan Jeffrey, was born on Tuesday. I still haven't seen pictures because its been a rough couple of days for Jeff and Amy but I'm way excited to see what he looks like soon. This Saturday it will be a month since Chad and I started dating but he is leaving today (friday) to go to Moab for business till Tuesday so we had a date last night. I walked out to my car yesterday morning to go to work and Chad had put roses (see above) and a really cute note on my windshield. So cute! Last night we went to Magleby's for dinner and then went to a Jazz concert at the HFAC. It was a great night and then we got to go see my brother Brent for a few minutes because he's out here recruiting for Aon.
Life continues to go well. I am really enjoying the weather slowly turning into fall and am checking the colors of the leaves on the trees everyday. I think going on walks is one of my most favorite things to do. Provo is such a beautiful place. I love the mountains and everything about this place. I think I probably got my appreciation for nature from my parents, especially my dad. Growing up we always did things outside and one of my favorite things was going up to the cabin in Island Park. I think I liked it because its a completely stress free environment and I got to see Dad just relax and have fun. I'm kindof sad that we didn't get to go up there this year. Actually, come to think of it, I haven't been to the cabin for like 3 years!! Holy Cow! How did that happen?!?! Growing up and getting busy is no fun, especially when you don't get to take vacations like you did when you were young. Shoot, I need to put that on my list of things to do. Ok, that should be good enough for now. :)
