I'm a cowgirl!

I can't believe its the end of September already. Time is going so fast! Elise told me that she wanted an update about my life, ok actually an update about Chad, but I don't quite know what to say. Things are going really well. He's seriously everything a girl could ask for and I am considering myself very lucky. Oh, I guess I never really said that we are "officially dating" but its been about 2 1/2 weeks. If you really want to hear me rave about Chad, you should probably call me because I feel a little silly writing about it for the whole world to see. Oh, and I don't have any other pictures of us yet Elise so you'll just have to wait. :)

Friday night we had a ward activity at our Bishop's lodge in Wallsburg, UT (he's loaded and if you want to know more about him you can look up the article about him on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Yarro_III). It was so much fun. I seriously love my ward. Everyone is so friendly and it is always so much fun.

Questions

Do you ever have one of those days where you wake up feeling like something bad is going to happen? I do every once in a while and it just so happens that today is one of those days. The last few times that this has happened, nothing bad had occurred so let's hope that my luck holds. Both times I was in a car accident, I felt like something was going to happen that day... Is that premonition or the Holy Ghost giving a warning?

Random Question for my siblings: Does potato salad make you think of Norma Brandon? Every time I see it, that is what I think of. I didn't like potato salad growing up and I think there might be some psychological reasoning behind it. Do you guys like potato salad?

Did you know that saying "I feel nauseous" means that you feel like you induce nausea. Usually people say this phrase when they are feeling ill when in reality, one should say "I am feeling nauseated." Brent told me the difference.

On a slightly related note, have dates with people you like ever induced nausea in any of you?

How's that for a random post? :)

Everyone else is doing it...

So when I got onto my site today, I saw that everyone had updated their blogs in the past couple of days and since I easily give into peer pressure (ok, not really), I figured I could do a little update as well. So here it goes...
Life is good. Provo is good. Boys are grand. Regional conference was amazing! and the CES fireside was phenomenal.
Ok, so maybe some of you want some more details. Then again, maybe you don't. Oh well! So our wireless router in our apartment wasn't working last week and Chad is a computer guy so I asked him what was wrong with it and he said he'd come over tonight to fix it on Thursday night... which is great but not nearly as great as what's next...So I was chatting with him on Gmail Thursday morning and I told him that I needed to get my brakes checked out because they were squeaking but I didn't know where to go and that I was afraid of getting taken advantage of because I'm a girl and don't know anything about cars. In response he says "I can look at them for you". I seriously started tearing up, I don't know why. its probably because I was really nervous about the whole thing and then here Chad comes and makes everything great. His grandpa has a little shop behind his house in Orem so went over there on Thursday night. First we got dinner and then we went back to the house and I got to use one of those cool lugnut guns that racedrivers use to take my tires off. After checking my car out we went back to my house and SuperHero Chad fixed our internet and then we watched a movie.
Friday night, I had a date with a boy in my ward named Crazy Karl (he named himself that) and the date made him live up to his name. That's all I'm saying about that.
Sunday we had Regional Conference in the Marriott Center. Chad had gone early and saved a ton of seats for not only me and my roommates but people in his ward so we got to sit on the 5th row up right in the center. I'm really not trying to make this post all about boys, but let's be honest, what else is exciting in my life?!?! Anyway, so Elder Marlin K. Jensen, Elder Boyd K. Packer, Sister Ann M. Dibbs (President Monson's daughter that is in the Young Women's presidency), and President Uchtdorf were all there and all of their talks were amazing!
We also went to the CES fireside last night and Elder Jeffrey R. Holland spoke about "Lessons Learned in Liberty" (meaning the Liberty Jail). It was way good and you all should look it up if you get a chance.
Alright, I think that's good enough for now. I really hope I have something else to talk about in my next post besides boys but who knows... maybe that's the only entertaining thing to write about?

Labor Day Weekend

We are wet and thuggishProvo from the Y
The Y from the Bottom
Friends we hiked with
Chad et Moi
Meggie, me and Liesl
Aren't those clouds cool?
Yay! We're wet!
Um, I have a gun pointed at my head. I guess we're from rival gangs or something. Actually, I'm pretty sure that was an accident.

This past weekend has been very fun and very busy. I was looking forward to sleeping in a little bit at least once this weekend but that didn't happen. Friday night I had a date with Chad (the boy that I thought I was too quiet on our first date). We went to the Timpanogos Story telling festival. It was alot of fun. I don't have any pictures of that though.

Saturday morning Meggie and I put on a BYU football kick-off pancake breakfast. We had about 25 people show up which was great. The only problem was that I didn't get to socialize much because I was doing the cooking. The rest of my Saturday was spent either preparing or worrying about preparing my Sunday School lesson for the next day. That's right people, my first week in the ward I made friends with the wrong guy who just happened to be the Sunday School president and on Friday I got a call from him asking if I could teach because he hadn't called any teachers yet. Anyway, I survived and apparently my lesson didn't go too horribly because I got some positive feedback.

Monday we got up early and hiked the Y. We were wanting to hike it in the rain and get all muddy but the clouds held out on us till we got back down to the bottom. It was alot of fun though and it was a great way to start out the day. Another grand event of the day was using my KitchenAid for the first time to make cookies. I LOVE MY KITCHENAID! I must be growing up because I get excited about kitchen appliances. :) Monday night, Meggie and I went and hung out with some boys in our ward and it was alot of fun. I love it when you get to make friends without even trying very hard!
