Presidents Day Weekend

This past weekend Chad and I went to his Grandpa's cabin in Duck Creek Utah.
We went snowmobiling...

And got stuck in a huge drift... We spent at least half an hour trying to dig our selves out and then the next day when we went on our walk we found out that we were only like 10 minutes from the cabin... kinda frustrating at the time but looking back it'll be funny. You can't even tell from that picture but the hole is seriously like 5 feet deep. The meadow we stayed on after we got stuck.

On Saturday morning we gave each other our valentines gifts and... we got each other the EXACT same card! Sometimes its crazy how similarly we think. Oh and we also discovered that Chad has some red hair... as exemplified by this picture of one sticking out from the side of his face. Maybe he was just in the Valentines spirit. jk :)

Happy Birthday!

Chad is now 25! That's right, my man is a quarter of a century old. On Saturday night we went to Ruby River steakhouse. I have never been so full in my life! After we ate, we went back to my apartment and layed on the floor for at least a half an hour to try and recouperate. Seriously, looking at any kind of food made me want to throw up.
Yesterday, which was Chad's real birthday, I went over in the morning and made waffles for him (and his roommates). Doesn't that just look so gourmet?!? (Chad actually did the chocolate on it).

Luckily, that shirt he's wearing is no longer worn in public...

I also made him a funfetti cake... that's right, he really is 25 even though I made him a cake that a 5 year old would want. :) It turns out that candles come in packs of 24... so we cut one of them in half to make enough for Chad to blow out.
Yay for birthdays and double yay for Chad!

Music

Question: How does music affect you?
I used to listen to music all the time in high school. I would just turn on my radio in my room and lay on my bed. You might say that it was my way of expressing the way I was feeling without having to ever tell anybody (lets just say, the volume was most definately not turned down). If I was sad, I would actually listen to songs that made me MORE sad and it was the same thing for every other emotion. I was a pretty emotional person growing up and looking back, it was probably the worst in high school.
Anyway, that wasn't really the tangent I wanted to get on. What I was really going to talk about was how music seems to be able to reach into the depths of my heart and mind. It seriously touches deep down inside of me and stirs something. I can't even explain it but maybe one of you can do a better job. Pretty much the only time I listen to music now is when I'm in the car... maybe I should start listening more often again. Chad (yes its true I can't NOT talk about him) has a whole ipod of music and there's alot of songs that I've never heard before. What an exciting adventure! Hooray for getting married and automatically inheriting a whole music collection. :)
Anyway, there's my random thought for the moment. Feel free to give any thoughts you may be having.
In light of my current situation, here is a song I thoroughly enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4xmxb9K8RI
