A week of being a grown up... well not completely

As some of you know, we put on offer on a house last week. It turns out that someone else put an offer in as well so the sellers came back to both of us and said "Put in your highest offer". They were asking $127,900 so we felt pretty secure going in at $128,100... WRONG! The other people offered $131,000 with only $2,000 closing costs... so we pretty much got out bid by $5,000!! We were pretty bummed because it seemed like the perfect place but we'll just keep looking and we're also the "backup" people if the deal falls through. We looked at 4 more places on Saturday and none of them feel as homey... Oh well.
The weather was super nice last week (and now its gotten cold again) so Chad and I had a picnic on Friday. It was really fun and I wish that the weather would have decided to stay Spring-like instead of going back to being windy and cold.
Sunday was the Draper Temple dedication and Chad and I got to watch it in the Mariott Center. I've never seen so many white hankerchiefs in my life! It was a nice experience, even though the chairs were not made for guys that are 6' 3" (i'm sorry Chad). :)
Only 6 more weeks!!

Engagement Pictures

What do you guys think? We're having a really hard time deciding which ones we like... everybody has a different opinion, including Chad and I.

I promise Chad is not bald and has hair in this picture and if you look really hard you can see it... its just blond and the way it was edited makes it so you can't see it very well.

I would have liked to get the other million pictures we took, just to see what they looked like. So hopefully we can still get them from my friend.

This weekend

On Saturday morning Chad and I got our engagement pictures taken. My friend Luke took them and he's going to edit them and make them all cool so we won't actually have them for another 2 weeks but that's ok.
For Christmas, I gave Chad a bottle of Martinelli's and a coupon for a romanical dinner.... well that bottle of Martinellis has been in his fridge for over 2 months so on Saturday afternoon we had our romantic dinner. It was actually pretty spur of the moment because we found the martinellis in the fridge. It consisted of... 2 cans of Chef Boyardee Ravioli, 2 fancy glasses, 1 bottle of Martinelli's sparkling cider and 2 very cute engaged people. I took pictures but my camera isn't wanting to work right now. Don't worry, I'll buy another bottle and we'll have a real romantic dinner in the near future.
On Sunday, I had Stake Conference in the morning which meant that I had all afternoon free! After Chad's church we went to his break the fast and had hotdogs... they made us ill and I think we have sworn off hot dogs... well at least until we have little kids that like such disgusting processed who knows what. BLECH! We actually didn't get sick until later so we were able to enjoy the absolutely GORGEOUS weather. We went for a walk in the canyon and it was really nice. I really like walks.... I'm glad winter is almost over so we can start playing outside again. I was starting to get cabin fever and we all know that that means I was p-r-e-t-t-y looney.
OH and guess what?
ONLY 2 MONTHS TILL WE GET TO GET MARRIED! YAY!
