It certainly has been an eventful 2 weeks. Brent came out to Utah for Labor Day weekend. It was fun to see him and to meet Becca, his.... friend that is a girl. :) On Labor day we had a little bbq lunch with teryaki chicken. Yummo! And then we tubed the Provo river. Brent was freezing the whole time but the rest of us did pretty ok... At least till the end when a stupid man cannon-balled off a rock and splashed me. I've been told that I gave him a pretty dirty look. Monday evening was my friend Kacie's wedding. It was nice to be there. I'm sad we didn't take any pictures of all of our fun.
Tuesday, I had to take Brent back to the airport. On the way home, we had a little adventure. It was just Becca and I in the car and we were driving in the HOV lane on the interstate. Out of nowhere, a tire from a car in the furthest right lane (3 lanes away from us) popped off, rim and all and attacked the front right side of my car. This all happened as rush hour was still winding down and miraculously we didn't hit anybody else and were able to pull over to the right shoulder after swirving through the middle lanes. Nobody was hurt in either car but my car had to be towed. The front fender was scuffed and one of the lights was broken, my front tire was bent in, and after talking to the repair shop they said that the steering gear assebly needed to be fixed. Grand total of damages... $1,800. Luckily the other guy's insurance is covering it and I even have a rental car. They said it could be this Friday before I get my car back. Once again, I didn't take any pictures of the damage.
And now for the ultra sad news. My Grandpa Pincock passed away on Tuesday. We are all obviously very saddened by this but he has been in severe pain for a really long time and was ready to go. Luckily Dad and all of his siblings were able to be there. It'll be good to be with all the family this weekend.
