Blessing

This morning before Chad went to work he told me that the steering wheel in our Neon has recently started shaking when he gets to about 65 on the interstate and that he thought it might be the front tires even though they still had some tread left on them. What he didn't tell me was that before he got on the interstate to come home last night he had a prompting that he needed to check the tires. So he pulled over and looked and didn't see anything. Apparently this is what he missed.

Who knows if it was actually that big before he came home but we figure that part of the tire must have been facing the ground when he checked. I am SO grateful that Chad was protected and that the tire didn't blow out on his way home, which it very well could have. I truly believe that Chad was blessed because of his obedience in listening to the Holy Ghost's prompting, even though he didn't discover the problem at that time. We have been very blessed with safety and protection throughout our lives and this is just one more instance that we can put on the list.

I knew I had more pictures!

I thought for sure I had taken more pictures in Idaho and it turns out I did and they were just hiding!
This is when we went to Mesa Falls on the way back down to Pocatello.

Addison got to see baby horses and kittens. One of the horses sneezed on us so she didn't like them very much but she almost decided to like the kitten.

This is me wasting Shanae at tether ball. There were some awesome action shots but they weren't very flattering. :)

I had made some homemade ice cream before we left and while Addi and I were gone Chad ate a heart out for us. Isn't he just so cute.

And now these are just random pictures. I don't know how she can sleep in such weird positions but if we move her, she'll wake up so its better just to leave her.

And this is Addi's 10 month old picture. Isn't she just so cute?!?

We took this picture to compare with the one of me in my crib. What's the verdict?

The final "hurrahs" of summer

The last 2 weeks of July were busy for us. On the 19th, Meggie, Addison and I headed down to California with an overnight stop in Las Vegas to see Austin and Elise before their baby Caden came. We had fun playing Just Dance 2 and chatting. I do have pictures and videos of us dancing but those are going to be kept in a secret vault.
After we got to California, we picked my sister Shanae up from the airport and had lots of fun seeing the sites and going to the beach. Addison normally loves water but the ocean scared her to death! I think it was just because the waves were so loud. She did love playing in and eating the sand though.

We had a great time. Thanks again to the Winns for letting us stay at your lovely home.

The next weekend we headed up to Idaho to spend time with my parents and a few siblings. We had tons of fun up at the cabin in Island park. Of course we had to do a raft trip. Addi LOVED the water and was only content if we were holding her off the side so she could drag her feet through it as we went down the river.

Addi also had fun playing in hammocks.

Grabbing plums out of the fruit basket all by herself and chomping down on them

and Going for walks with cousin Keaton (thanks Quinton for letting her take your chair)
Chad had to leave on Monday so he could get back in time to take a Biology test so we sure missed him but were happy that he could play with us for a few days.

Here's everybody.

Addi and I were able to stay the rest of the week in Pocatello with everybody at Grandma Pincock's house. While we were there my dad taught Addi how to crawl all the way up the stairs. I guess she's got to learn somehow since we dont have any in our house.

We had a great time and can't wait to see everyone again!

Oh and today Addi is 10 months old! That's so close to 1 year its scary!

Just so you know

I just sat down to blog about the events of the past month and then Addi woke up so you have to wait a little longer for an update but it'll be coming.
